  • Coverage For Damages: Kotak Car Secure offers coverage for partial or complete damages to your car resulting from natural calamities such as earthquakes, fires, explosions, self-ignitions or lightning, floods, typhoons, frosts, rockslides, hurricanes, storms, tempests, inundations, cyclones, hailstorms, landslides, and man-made calamities such as burglaries, strikes, thefts, riots, accidental external means, malicious act, terrorist activity, or damage in transit via road, rail, inland waterway, lift elevator, or air.
  • Personal Accident Coverage: Kotak Car Secure provides Personal Accident coverage in case of injury caused while driving, mounting into or dismounting from the insured vehicle, or while travelling as a co-driver. This protection extends to other passengers in the car, provided the number of passengers does not exceed the carrying capacity of the car, excluding the driver.
  • Third-party Legal Liability: Kotak Car Secure offers coverage for any damage caused to third-party property and bodily injury (including death) resulting from an accident involving the insured vehicle to ensure the safety of all parties involved.

Documents Required

When filing a car insurance claim, you’ll need to provide certain documents to support your case. These include:

  • A copy of your vehicle’s Registration Certificate (RC)
  • A copy of your insurance policy
  • Your valid ID proof as the policyholder
  • The driving license of the person who was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident

How to File a Claim?

Cashless Claim Process 

  • Step 1: Call us at 1 800 266 4545 (8 am to 8 pm) to report your claim and provide details of your policy.
  • Step 2: Upon registering your claim, our customer support executive will assign you a Claim Reference Number.
  • Step 3: Submit the required documents, such as your Driving License, RC Copy, and Policy FIR Copy, as per the policy’s terms and conditions.
  • Step 4: We will arrange an inspection within 24 hours if the claim is reported on a working day or the next working day if it is reported on a Sunday or a public holiday.
  • Step 5: If the cashless facility is approved, your vehicle can be repaired at a preferred network garage, and payment will be made directly to the garage.
  • Step 6: Pay only the deductible as specified in the insurance policy, and the depreciation value, salvage, and more, as informed by the surveyor.

Reimbursement Process 

  • Step 1: Call us at 1 800 266 4545 (8 am to 8 pm) to report your claim and provide details of your policy.
  • Step 2: Upon registering your claim, our customer support executive will assign you a Claim Reference Number.
  • Step 3: Submit the required documents, such as your Driving License, RC Copy, and Policy FIR Copy, as per the policy’s terms and conditions.

  • Step 5: The insurer will then repair the vehicle, followed by payment for the same.
  • Step 6: Submit all bills, and payment receipts, along with your policy details to us, and we will make the payment within seven working days of completing the documentation.

1. No Claim Bonus (NCB):

You may be eligible for an attractive No Claim Bonus (NCB) based on your previous claim history. The NCB amount increases progressively with each claim-free year, up to a maximum of 50%. If you have not made any claims in the preceding year or years, you can get an NCB on the Own Damage (OD) section of the policy according to the following table, applicable only for one-year policies:
